A low hanging limb was adjusted below Avon Road and the blockage between Yates and Ryan was opened up.  The blockage after Yates took three attempts on three different days to open.  The first attempt left the chain pinched, the second attempt failed when the replaced chain hit the pinched chain and was too dull to cut anymore.  Sunday’s attempt was successful.   It was necessary to cut smaller branches to enable the bigger sections enough clearance to float away.   A rope was tied to the pinched chain and the chain was retrieved when the first segment was removed.  This was made more difficult because a lot of it was on the river bottom making cutting it in logical places impossible because the the risk of dulling the chain on gravel.  On a good day, one cut would have allowed the trunk float sideways out of the way.
